Enhancement: Preserve “Joined Sites” Concept for New Users
Removing subscriptions currently causes the “Joined Sites” label to disappear, which breaks a core mental model for users. Without this label, users lose the concept of belonging to sites entirely.
Proposed improvements:
Always display the “Joined Sites” label, even when empty.
Add guidance (e.g., “Click ‘Join’ on a site to get started”).
Optionally auto-join a default site (e.g., SHM) when a user has zero memberships.
This ensures the concept of site membership is visible and understandable from the start.
From this argumentation:
IMO the problem with wiping out subscriptions is that the label Joined Sites disappears! Basically, users completely lose the concept. We need to have it since the beginning.
