Currently we have a html page on seed.hyper.media and suffer from some bugs and inconsistencies between the homepage and the rest of the site.
More importantly, we want to utilize SHM to create a more dynamic and exciting home page, with community discussions!
Solution
The seed product should support all the layouts and visuals that the home page has. Then, we will rearrange this content across the SHM site, ensuring strong linking between them. The new home page, site structure and new organization/content is yet to be designed. This project is the prerequisite to redesigning the site, and in the short term it will allow us to use SHM for the SHM home.
As follows are the features that SHM homepage has, that the product doesn't really support yet. For each feature, we should either implement it or accept that we don't need it for our homepage
Autoplay Videos/Animations
The homepage has many looping videos that appear without sound or playback controls. SHM doesn't support this type of video yet, but in theory this is pretty straightforward
In theory this is an attribute of a video block, and there could be a hovering video settings card which has toggles for the looping and hiding playback control.
Button Colors and Icons
The homepage has a mix of two button colors. We should support a color picker or allow a choice between "primary, secondary, etc" which may eventually be customizable with a theme system.
Buttons on the homepage have icons. This is possible in theory by adding an attribute to the button.
Side by Side Buttons
When two buttons appear together but horizontally centered.
Centered Alignment
At the top of the homepage, the main title and text beneath it is center-aligned

Some sections of the homepage have a multi-column layout and don't have the "card" aesthetic
