Discard changes
Problem:
Between the edit and the publish flow there is a feeling of getting stuck, It seems I am forced to publish all the time, when in occasions I am working on a draft and I want to save my last edits, but not publish.
When user wants to leave the edit mode there is an option on the 3 dots call "Discard changes".
Red color + "Discard" language triggers a destructive-action mental model when it shouldn't.
Solution:
Change copy on the 3 dots option "Discard changes" to "Exit editing" Ideally this should be a button next to publish, not so hidden.
Remove the red color to the black one (no red, no need to alarm here)
On the modal change the copy:
Title: Exit editing
Text: You have unsaved changes. Would you like to save them before leaving?
Buttons: Save changes (primary) - Leave without saving (secondary)
Versions alerts friction
Problem:
When returning to a document, users are frequently caught in a versioning bug that disrupts the experience. The expected behaviour is straightforward: always show the latest version of the document, but surface a non-intrusive notification when changes were made by someone else — giving the user awareness without blocking their flow.
