We rolled out a new notification system but it seem that it is not yet working for our team.
Why do I say that?
Last night I made a comment on my current project. This is a decision that is blocking me.
I mentioned 3 people, and only one person replied.
Because this is important and requires the consensus of the team I also put it inside the Discord #inbox channel.
Only one person replied. So I guess notifications are not working yet for our team. I still don't know if we have consensus on that comment.
Discord Notifications are working
Today at 4:30p I sent a message on Discord, without even mentioning anybody
I received a reply at 4:31p, and also I was told that the conversation should be moved out of discord.
If you wonder why I use discord, it is because people reply in there. And not in Seed!
Possible Reasons Notifications are not working for our team
There are a few reasons notifs might not be working, while they work for discord:
Our team is not using the Desktop application all day Thursday
Our desktop application does not have a red dot on the app icon - which causes annoyance and mentally forces you to check (Easy fix)
Our application does not make any sound effects. (Easy fix)
We don't have a mobile app with notifications
Maybe they are working, but it is too difficult to reply or react, in comparison to discord. So maybe everybody agrees with my comment, but I can't tell because I can't read minds (remotely)
So, which is the main reason? Or main reasons? Or, is there a reason I forgot to add here?
