Sometimes we get feedback that SHM has very high network usage according to macOS activity monitor.

If this were downloading/uploading hundreds of GBs from the web (external network), this would be an unreasonable stress on our user's internet connection.

But we have long suspected that activity monitor is measuring internal network traffic between the frontend and the daemon.
